Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is spectacular. When you enter you’ll instantly feel like you’ve been transported to an elegant resort set in the African wilds. More than 200 animals and birds call this resort home in several lush savannas.

Disney has special viewing areas where all guests can get close and watch the animals feed, play and interact with each other. More than 30 acres have been set aside just for the wildlife.

The lobby has one of the largest and most unusual collections of African art in the US. This African ceremonial mask is 16 feet high and weighs over 200 pounds.

After check-in, you’ll be issued your “Key to the World” card or “MagicBand.” This is your room key. Besides getting you into your room, your Key to the World card or MagicBand can be used for all meals & purchases inside the parks and anywhere on Disney property. That means you’ll never need credit cards or cash during your stay.

Animal Kingdom Lodge’s standard-view guest rooms feature 344 square feet of space and can sleep up to 4 guests, plus one child under 3 if you use a crib. Rooms usually have two queen size beds but other …read more
