We are staying at Coronado Springs for the first time in June but we stayed at caribbean beach in 2005 for our honeymoon and loved it!!!

    • Thanks Shannon! We have yet to stay at Caribbean Beach. Even though it didn’t make the top 6, it’s definitely on our list to try.

POFQ!!! It’s such a lovely resort, and the compact size cannot be beat! After walking around the parks all day, and often all night long, who wants to then have to walk a gazillion miles back to their room, not to mention then having to walk yet another gazillion miles if you want to stroll over and fill up your refillable cup or grab a quick snack. Besides the compact nature of the resort, you can hop on a boat to Downtown Disney or hop a boat over to POR and use their pool or grab a bite from their food areas, AND if POFQ and POR are sharing buses (which they do sometimes) POFQ always picks up first, so you have a better chance to get a seat on the bus =D
The only drawback to POFQ is the fact that there is no on-site TS restaurant, however, we always have ADR’s everyday at either the parks or other Resorts, so this is never and issue to us, and if it is an issue, you can hop over to POR and eat at their TS restaurant.

    • Becky – you hit all of our favorite parts of POFQ. For our family quick service is enough – no table service required. On our last visit there we had a room right on the corner, directly across from the food court. In under 5 minutes we could get down there, refill our drinks, and be back to the room. Super handy for catching the buses too!

My goal is to try them all! We are staying at POFQ this coming January for the first time and can’t wait to try it! Loved POR! We’ve also stayed at AS Sports, Pop, AoA, WL, AKL, Yacht, Boardwalk, Coronado and Caribbean. I haven’t stayed at Contemporary since 1976 so I’m counting that as a need to stay! LOL We’ve loved them all except the All Star I would pass on again.

    • Enjoy! To date, POFQ is our favorite moderate and might be pretty close to favorite all the way around. If you liked POR and won’t miss having a table service restaurant, I think you’ll really enjoy POFQ. Try to request a building close to the food court and lobby. Just makes your walks a little shorter.

Very soon in October my family will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Everything that I’ve heard about it sounds really good, so I was glad to see that it made the #1 spot! Only 20 days to go!! Super excited!! 🙂

    • YAY! Love that place. We’re heading to Disney at the same time. Watch for some Mouse and Memos.com t-shirts in the park!
