I’ve blogged about my house before. It’s an old house, built in 1929. We call it “The Money Pit” and it’s not really a joke. It seems like, with older homes (and I guess some newer ones as well), there’s always something going wrong.
2016 has been The Year of the Plumber
It all started a few weeks ago, when I noticed a LOT of HOT water leaking out of the furnace downstairs. $1,000 later, and that problem was fixed.
Next, Brian noticed that there was a clog between our two oil tanks. $50 fixed that problem.
Then, came the backed-up drain in the bathtub. We worked for days to unclog it – another $50 fix.
Today, however, was not so simple. . .
I went to the basement to throw a load of laundry in the washer. Everything was fine down there.
I went outside to grab some stuff for supper from the freezer in our garage.
When I came back in, Ian greeted me at the backdoor in a panic. He said something like “the sink upstairs is leaking really bad!”
