Disney on Ice presents Frozen, plus their VIP Event!

VIP Event
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to participate in the VIP event before the Frozen ice show. I was granted the opportunity to enter the arena 2 hours before the show (1 hour before the people with general admission tickets). When we checked in, each child was presented with a goodie bag based on their gender. Each child received a photo frame and program. Boys also received an Olaf light and girls received an Elsa doll. Once the goodie bags were distributed, we were led up to a special suite that was decked out in Frozen memorabilia. A buffet of chicken fingers, cheese, fruit, sliders and chips and dip were available to everyone and there was also an assortment of soft drinks and water. Popcorn was also placed at each seat. The highlight of the experience was when the two sisters, Anna and Elsa, made their grand entrance. They were available for greetings, interaction and lots of pictures. They made time to meet individually with each family without being rushed and truly created a magical experience. What a great way to kick off a fun night at Disney on Ice!

Disney on Ice presents Frozen

Disney on Ice presents Frozen finally made its way down to South Florida and I’m so glad it did!  The rink dazzled with beautiful props, brightly colored costumes, great effects and everyone’s favorite characters from the Disney animated movie Frozen.

When the show began, all of the children in the audience (many of whom were dressed as Anna, Elsa or Olaf) were invited to get on their feet and do the snowman dance. This was followed by a big welcome from Mickey and Minnie who were joined by a few special guests. The show really began to captivate the hearts of the audience when a young Anna and Elsa appear on the ice and begin their story of sisterly love.

The ice story closely followed the movie and included all of the songs you just can’t get out of your head including “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman,” “Love is an Open Door” and “Let It Go.” The children in the audience (and many of the adults, too) had no trouble belting out every word as the lovable characters skated into their hearts and memories.

The most memorable parts of the show for me personally were the transformations of the princesses as they grew up on stage before our eyes, the pyrotechnics that were used to depict Elsa’s ice powers and larger-than-life Marshmallow, the snow monster.
