Families of 5

By Amanda A common problem when it comes to accommodations at Walt Disney World, and even on a Disney Cruise, is where can a family of 5 stay without breaking the bank? Due to Fire Code, many Disney resorts limit the number of occupants to just 4 people. There are a few exceptions however.

What are the ages of the children in your family?
If you are family of 5, but one of your children is younger than 3, you can occupy a standard room at a Value or Moderate resort just fine. While it might be a tight squeeze, there is enough room for a pack-n-play in addition to the 2 Double or Queen beds. My suggestion, while it restricts use of the bathroom at night, if you have a little one who isn’t used to sleeping in the same room as other family members, is to move the pack-n-play to the bathroom area and close the curtain 🙂
