It feels like it’s been FOREVER since we’ve attended a musical as part of our 2 Year Musical Journey. This past spring, Gracie was busy with lots of musical things, and there wasn’t time to fit musicals into the mix. The summer was just busy all around. But, now that we’re back into the swing of things with school and the weather is cooling off, it seemed the perfect time to add a musical into our lives. We chose Rock of Ages, playing at the Carlisle Theatre. The girls had seen Hairspray here last year, but I had yet to see a “real” show (as opposed to children’s theater).
About Rock of Ages
Set in L.A.’s infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, ROCK OF AGES tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. ROCK OF AGES takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair!
