Heidi Says …
For our first adoption, we traveled to Vietnam for approximately two weeks. We spent a little over a week in Hanoi, then traveled to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) to finalize the adoption, as that’s where the US Embassy was located at that time.
Immediately upon getting off the plane, we were taken to the orphanage, where the four families on our adoption trip were introduced to their babies. It was naptime for the babies, so we had to give them back. We were taken out for a traditional Vietnamese lunch before we got to go back for our babies and off to the Giving and Receiving Ceremony.
