Movie Review: Disney-Pixar’s Coco

By Terri

Disney-Pixar’s COCO hits theaters today – November 22, 2017! It’s a very heart-warming story, with excellent family values.

Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.

Disney-Pixar has done it again with fabulous graphics, colorful imagery and a heart-warming story line that is unforgettable! There are so many great messages within this film; Family first, never forget about your loved ones, forgive family, and show love to the elderly – they certainly can remember what’s important, even if they appear to be mentally “gone.”

Without spoiling the movie, we will reveal that there is a surprising plot twist – which is sure to please the audience! This makes the storyline all the better! The last 20 minutes of the movie wraps everything up beautifully.
